Who We AreWe are the DC Language Access Coalition — a community-powered alliance committed to language justice in the District of Columbia.
Since 2002, we’ve united over 40 community-based and civil rights organizations to ensure that all residents, regardless of English proficiency, can fully access public services, programs, and opportunities in our city. |
Our Mission
We fight for the rights of Limited-English Proficient (LEP) and Non-English Proficient (NEP) residents, workers, and visitors to access DC government services — in their language — as guaranteed by the DC Language Access Act of 2004.
Our CoalitionThe Coalition is hosted by Many Languages One Voice (MLOV) who spearheads strategic and administrative functions. Our strength comes from our members — grassroots organizations, legal advocates, service providers, and cultural connectors — all working together to uphold language access rights across the city.
