Who We Are |
The DC Language Access Coalition (Coalition) is an alliance of community-based and civil rights organizations and individuals that advocate for language access rights within the District of Columbia.
The Coalition's goal is to ensure that DC residents, workers and visitors who are limited-English proficient (LEP) or non-English proficient (NEP) have equal access to all DC government agency benefits and services, pursuant to the DC Language Access Act of 2004. The Coalition is currently hosted by Many Languages One Voice (MLOV), which provides administrative support. The Coalition was formerly hosted by the Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center (APALRC). The Coalition is comprised of a number of issue-driven committees. In 2011, the Coalition also formed an Executive Committee (EC) composed of a select number of Coalition member organizations to lead the Coalition and coordinate its activities. |
